Happy Halloween!

Carson is growing up so fast. In a couple weeks he will be 6 months, time flies! We weighed him about 2 weeks ago and he was 14 lbs. He just starting eating solids a couple days ago. He has only had green beans but he loved them. He kept pulling the spoon closer to himself, I guess I wasn't fast enough. He is getting better everyday at sitting up by himself. After a few minutes he falls over but its getting better. He has rolled over a couple times but hasn't cared to roll over much since then. He is such a happy and playful little boy. He loves to babble too.

Little Update

We are in Washington for the rest of the summer. Austin has been working for a funeral home here in Washington for the past couple weeks. This is the same company that he is going to work for when he graduates. They needed some extra help, so here we are till school starts again.

We tried taking Carson to his first baseball game last weekend, but the Mariners were playing the Yankees so the game was sold out. Oh well, maybe next time.

Carson is growing and growing. He is three months now. Yesterday we were out running around and out of no where he just started laughing. I have never heard him laugh like this. It was so cute and funny. It last for a few minutes too. We are sad that we didn't have the camera with us. So our goal is to make him laugh so we can get it on camera. So far he hasn't laughed like that again, but that's not stopping us from trying!

I'll post some updated pictures of him soon. I can't remember where I put the cord to download them to the computer. I'm looking for it, so hopefully within the next day or so.

Growing little boy

Carson finally made it to 10 lbs. He is still tall and skinny! He smiles and coos all the time, but I have yet to catch the smiles on camera. Once I get the camera out he knows what I am trying to do and just stops smiling. We went and got professional pictures a couple weeks ago and the photographer was able to get some pictures with him smiling, so at least we have those.

Carson loves his swing and is starting to notice when no one is in the room with him. He doesn't like that so much. He is a fun little boy and we enjoy every minute of him.

Carson spit up all over Austin and got all over him. I thought it
was funny so I had to take a picture of it.
We went to Utah a few weeks ago for Austin's cousin's softball tournament. They live in California so Austin doesn't get to see them alot. It was fun to see/meet them.

6 weeks

Carson is now 6 weeks. He is growing up so fast. He now weighs 8lbs 10 oz, 22 inches long. Tall and skinny. He is still such a good baby. We got lucky with him. We still just get to hang out all day. We have been going on more walk now that the rain has stopped which has been good for me. It's some type of exercise. It is so fun and amazing to watch carson grow.

MTC

Last week Carson and I went to Utah with my mom and Scott to drop off Scott at the MTC. We left Tuesday morning and did some last minute shopping for Scott before we dropped him off. We also went to the MTC Tuesday night to take a couple pictures because we knew we wouldn't have much time Wednesday morning. Scott was so anxious in the morning to go, he wasn't even hungry for breakfast! He said He had been waiting for this day since January and just wanted to be there. We got to the MTC around 11:30. We just dropped him off said a quick goodbye and that was it. They no longer have the orientation so it as a curb side drop off. My mom said that she had a letter waiting for her when she got to Georgia on last Saturday. He is doing good and likes both of his companions. Hopefully he will be good at writing and we will be able to here more about his mission.

Carson's blessing

On Sunday, May 31st we had Carson's blessing. Austin blessed him during sacrament meeting and then we went to be with my brother Scott to be set apart as a missionary right after. We did Carson's blessing sooner than normal so that Scott could be apart of it and before my mom left to go back home. My dad was also able to make it, along with Austin's parents. It worked out pretty good for the long distance travelers I think. Of course we had some family and friends here that didn't have to travel as far!

We had a little lunch afterwards. Luckily the weather was nice because I don't think that we would have been able to fit everyone in our apartment. Carson looked so grown up in his blessing outfit. It was a busy day but it was fun share this day with some of our family and friends.

Just like Dad

We took Carson to watch his daddy play baseball for a little bit. He wore his baseball sleeper so he could match dad. It was good to get out of the house and also let Keagen and Chad run around outside.  I'm sure we will have more baseball games to watch this summer.

Austin always wanted a picture of him holding his kids in his mit. Carson is almost too big but it still worked!

Meeting Family

The last week has been busy with family coming in to meet Carson. He didn't seem to be bothered with all the new people he was meeting. It was fun having family around for a little while.

What a sweetheart!

It only took a day for him to find his thumbs and he loves it!

Bath time

Carson wasn't a big fan of his bath. He doesn't like to be naked, or get his diaper changed. But he calmed down the second he got out of the bath and was wrapped up in daddy's arms

Our Baby Boy!

Carson was born Saturday May 16, 2009 at 5:17pm. He was 7lbs exactly, 19 3/4 inches long. He is a beautiful baby boy and we couldn't be happier. He got a pretty big bruise on his head coming out but it's looking better everyday. We came home today and are adjusting pretty good. He sleeps all the time and always wants to be held. Luckily he has family around to spoil him for a little bit. We love him and are excited for our new adventure!

Happy 25th Birthday!

On Monday Austin turned 25. I had to work all day and Austin has classes, but we were able to celebrate his birthday for a few hours that evening. We went out to eat and got his free ice cream at cold stone after. Austin isn't much of a cake person, so I made him a banana creme pie instead. It was fun watching him open his present and blowing out the candles!
