Happy 25th Birthday!

On Monday Austin turned 25. I had to work all day and Austin has classes, but we were able to celebrate his birthday for a few hours that evening. We went out to eat and got his free ice cream at cold stone after. Austin isn't much of a cake person, so I made him a banana creme pie instead. It was fun watching him open his present and blowing out the candles!

38 Weeks

Almost there. Only two more weeks! Hopefully no more than that. I am getting more anxious and excited everyday. Things are still going well. Work is getting more tiring but at least it gives me something to do during the day.

North Carolina

Last week Austin and I were able to do a little bit of traveling. We went to North Carolina to visit my brother brad, his wife Becky and our new nephew Ethan. We had a great time seeing them and relaxing. This was the first time that Austin really got to know them. They were able to come out for out wedding but we didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with them. I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures when we were at their house but I did manage to get one.

We had a great time and it was fun spending time with you!

Washington DC and Mt. Vernon

While we were out in North Carolina we were able to take a couple days and go to Washington DC. We went to the DC temple when we first got there and then headed to downtown DC and walked around the mall afterwards. We walked around the capital building, went to the union station, saw the liberty bell. That night we stayed at my aunts house in Virginia. The next Day we went back to the mall and spend almost all day there. We spend a lot of time at the Arlington cemetery and we saw JFK's grave and the changing of the guards. We then went to the Lincoln monument, Washington monument, and the Vietnam wall. It was a lot of walking around but it was all worth it. We both want to go back someday to see the rest of DC. On our way back to Brad's we stopped at Mt. vernon. We say Washington's mansion and took a tour of it and went to his tomb, and just walked around his property and saw how he lived.

We were pretty busy for those couple days but learned a lot about our nation's history.  It was a good experience for the both of us!

We had a great time and it was a well needed vacation before we become parents!
